Additional Tips

  • Move to SSD: If you installed on HDD, move the WoW folder to an SSD and then use Battle.net’s “Locate Game” feature (gear icon → Locate the Game).

  • Use the Battle.net mobile app (iOS/Android) to manage downloads, chat with friends, or purchase game time.

  • Free Trial limits: You can play up to level 20 indefinitely, but you cannot trade, use AH, or join guilds.

  • Pre-download patches: Always keep Battle.net open before a major patch release; it will automatically pre-load updates.

Uninstalling the Game

1. In Battle.net, click the gear icon next to World of Warcraft → Uninstall Game.
2. Confirm removal. This deletes only the game folder, not the Battle.net app.
3. To remove the launcher entirely, uninstall via Windows Control Panel (Apps & Features) or macOS Trash.
