Cheats & Secrets

Overview

Clash Royale has no official cheat codes, unlock codes, or secret commands. Supercell has consistently patched any exploitable glitches, and there are no developer-intended cheats. However, the game contains several Easter eggs, hidden features, and developer-intended surprises that are safe to use and add a touch of fun. This guide covers all known hidden content, from secret emotes to visual gags.

Secret Emotes & Interactions

1. The "Hehe" Emote (Tap the King's Tower)

  • Location: In the main menu or during a battle, tap your King's Tower repeatedly (the tower behind your side).

  • Action: Tap 10–15 times rapidly. Your King will laugh with a distinctive "Hehehe" sound and the King’s face will animate.

  • Result: This is a persistent but harmless Easter egg. It does not affect gameplay.

  • 2. The "Angry King" Emote (Tap the Crown Towers)

  • Location: In battle, tap your Crown Towers multiple times.

  • Action: Tap each Crown Tower 5 times rapidly. The King will emit a grunt or angry expression.

  • Note: Works only on your own towers, not enemy ones.

  • 3. Secret Emote Sequence (Friendly Battle only)

  • Prerequisites: Android or iOS; friendly battle mode.

  • Steps:

  • 1. Start a Friendly Battle with a friend.
    2. At the start of the match, both players must hold down their King’s Tower for 3 seconds.
    3. Simultaneously use the "Hehe" emote (from the emote wheel) while holding.
  • Result: A hidden animation: the King does a double-take and then laughs heartily. This is purely cosmetic.

  • Hidden Visual Features

    1. The "Clash Royale" Logo Tap

  • Location: Main menu title screen (the "Clash Royale" text banner).

  • Action: Tap the logo 10 times quickly.

  • Result: The logo spins and a small spark effect appears. No function beyond novelty.

  • 2. Card Description Easter Eggs

  • Card: Goblin Barrel – Tap the barrel icon in the card info screen repeatedly. The goblins inside the barrel will peek out and wave.

  • Card: Inferno Dragon – The dragon's eye glows when you hold the card.

  • Card: Princess – She occasionally winks if you hold her card for a few seconds.

  • Note: These are static animations, not interactive cheats.

  • 3. The "Supercell" Stamp on Cards

  • Some older cards (like Rocket, Fireball, Mortar) have a tiny Supercell logo hidden in the card art. Look closely at the bottom-right corner of the card when viewing full art in the collection.

  • Developer-Intended Hidden Content

    1. Tower Troop Secret Skins

  • Tower Troop: King's Tower (unlockable via Pass Royale or events).

  • Easter egg: Equip the "Ghost" tower skin and tap your King's Tower 20 times. The King will briefly turn transparent and emit a ghostly wail. This is purely cosmetic.

  • 2. The "Mirror Match" Glitch (Patched)

  • What happened: In early versions (2016), using the Mirror spell on a mirrored card could cause infinite elixir drain and freezes. This was patched in update 1.2.0.

  • Current status: Not functional; considered a historic bug.

  • 3. The "Infinite Elixir" Exploit (Patched)

  • What happened: In the beta, exploiting a server lag glitch could double elixir generation when both players placed cards simultaneously. Fixed in global launch.

  • Current status: No longer possible.

No Cheat Codes

To reiterate: Clash Royale does not have any console-style cheat codes or unlock codes. All cards, emotes, and tower skins are obtained through normal gameplay, purchases, or events. Using third-party tools (mods, bots, emulators) violates Supercell’s Terms of Service and can lead to permanent ban. Stick to the legitimate hidden features above for harmless fun.
