Characters & Roles
Characters & Roles Guide for Elden Ring
This guide covers every major character and role in Elden Ring. In a game with deep RPG customization and no fixed hero roster, “characters” break down into two categories: Starting Classes (your initial build), and Key NPCs (story figures who offer quests, items, or services). We also touch on Spirit Ashes (summonable allies) as they fill a pseudo-player role. Team synergy is discussed in terms of co-op partners and summon choices.

Starting Classes (Your First Hero)
You choose one of 10 classes at character creation. This sets your starting stats, equipment, and early playstyle. You can later re-spec (after defeating Rennala), so class only determines your early experience. Each class is a viable starting point for any final build.
#### 1. Warrior
- Background: A fighter skilled in dual-wielding and agility. Far from the Lands Between, a warrior who relies on speed and dexterity.
- Strengths: Highest starting Dexterity (16); excellent for status-build (bleed, frost) and fast weapons; light equip load for mobility.

- Playstyle: Fast-paced, aggressive. Dodge, attack quickly with dual scimitars, apply pressure. Good for learning timing.
