Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) - Cheats & Secrets
Important Note: No Traditional Cheat Codes
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) does not contain any traditional cheat codes, console commands, or developer debug menus. The game is primarily online and uses kernel-level anti-cheat (Ricochet) to prevent exploits. All secrets listed below are legitimate, developer-intended hidden content or Easter eggs that do not violate the game's Terms of Service.

Campaign Easter Eggs & Secrets
1. "Alone" Mission: Pacifist Achievement
- How to unlock: In the mission "Alone" (Act 2), you can earn the hidden achievement/trophy "Alone" by completing the entire mission without killing any enemies. This requires careful stealth, using distractions and environmental takedowns (non-lethal), and avoiding all combat. No kills (including dogs) are allowed. If you kill anyone, restart the checkpoint.
- Reward: Achievement/Trophy, and it unlocks a special calling card.
- A unique weapon blueprint (the "Shadow Company" blueprint for the M4)
- A special animated calling card
- A charm
- Platforms: All platforms (PC, PS, Xbox).
- Tip: Use guide videos or interactive maps to find every briefcase; some are very well hidden and require backtracking.
- Mission: "Recon by Fire" (Act 1).
- How to get: Before breaching the first house, go to the left side of the compound and find a small shed. Inside, on a shelf, there is a blueprint for the Union Guard (a custom M4 with unique attachments). You must physically pick it up.
- Note: This blueprint is exclusive to the campaign and does not transfer to multiplayer.
- "Danger Close" (P890 blueprint): After 10 kills without dying, the gun glows with flames.
- "Hexed" (Kastov 762): After 5 kills, a skull appears on the magazine. This is considered a secret feature.
- Museum Map: Find the hidden "Ghost" graffiti on the wall near the central exhibit. Shooting it with a specific gun (e.g., the Fennec) causes the graffiti to fade and a hidden sound clip to play.
- Mercado Las Almas: In the back alley, there is a wall with the numbers "141" and a skull. Interact with it (hold the use key) to hear a somber guitar riff.
- Raceway: On the racetrack, drive a vehicle over the launch ramp and your car will briefly play the Initial D theme song (hidden radio Easter egg).
- Complete all assault rifles: Unlocks a card showing a firing squad.
- Complete all shotguns: Unlocks a card with a shotgun reload animation.
- Al Mazrah: There are several locked bunkers that require a certain key (e.g., "Al Bagra Fortress Bunker Key"). Inside, you can find a guaranteed gold skull, a weapon case, and a unique blueprint for the "Scavenger" (a custom M13B).
- Building 21: The boss room has a chance to drop the "Black Site Keycard" which opens a hidden room with a unique blueprint for the "Phantom" (MCPR-300 sniper).
2. Hidden Intel Briefcases (Campaign Collectibles)
Across the campaign, there are 47 intel briefcases scattered in levels. Collecting all unlocks:
3. "Ghost" No Russian Easter Egg
In the mission "Ghost Team" (Act 1), if you shoot the TV monitors showing the airport massacre flashback, a hidden dialogue line from Ghost plays referencing "No Russian" from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). This does not affect gameplay but is a nod to veterans.
4. Secret Weapon Blueprint: "Union Guard"
5. Cartel Safe House Easter Egg
In the mission "Cartel Protection" (Act 2), after clearing the safe house, go to the bathroom and look in the mirror. Repeatedly press the interact button (F on PC, Square on PS, X on Xbox) to make your character make faces. Doing this 10 times triggers a hidden achievement/trophy called "Facial Recognition".

Multiplayer Hidden Content
1. Secret Operator: "Klaus" (via Raid)
Klaus is a hidden operator unlocked by completing the Raid Episode 1: Atomgrad on Veteran difficulty. This is not a cheat but a secret unlock. You cannot get him any other way.
2. Hidden Weapon Blueprints in Battle Pass
Several Battle Pass blueprints have secret reactive camo that activates after a certain number of kills. For example:
3. Graffiti Easter Eggs on Maps
4. Secret Calling Cards from Mastery Challenges
Completing the Mastery Camo challenges (Gold, Platinum, Polyatomic) for all weapons in a category unlocks secret animated calling cards. For example:

Co-op / Special Ops Secrets
1. Secret Mission: "Defender: Mountaintop"
If you complete all three original Special Ops missions on Veteran difficulty, you unlock a hidden fourth mission called "Defender: Mountaintop" which is a defend-the-point mode on a new map. It is not shown in the menu until unlocked.
2. Easter Egg: "The Nuke" in Special Ops
In the mission "High Ground" (Special Ops), there is a secret button behind a waterfall. Press it, then quickly complete the mission within 30 seconds while holding the interact key near the extraction point. This triggers a tactical nuke killstreak effect that kills all remaining enemies on the map. This is purely visual and does not affect score, but it's a cool hidden mechanic.
3. Hidden Reward: "SAS" Operator Skin
Complete all Special Ops missions on any difficulty with a 3-star rating in each mission. This unlocks a secret SAS-themed operator skin for all default operators.

DMZ Secrets
1. Hidden Bunkers with Rare Loot
2. Dead Drop Easter Egg: "The Handler"
If you deposit a specific set of items (e.g., a comic book, a USB drive, and a dog tag) into a dead drop on Ashika Island, the dead drop will emit a red glow and give you a hidden weapon blueprint called "The Handler" (BAS-P). This is a developer-intended secret.
3. Juggernaut Revenge Easter Egg
In DMZ, if you kill the Juggernaut boss and then immediately die to a player, the Juggernaut's corpse will sometimes spawn a rare weapon blueprint, but only if you have completed the "Juggernaut Revenge" weekly challenge. The secret part: If you then extract with that blueprint, it grants a permanent unlock for the "Riot Shield" (though the shield is already obtainable).

Miscellaneous Hidden Content
1. "Soulstice" Music Easter Egg (Firing Range)
Go to the firing range in the multiplayer lobby. Stand on the middle platform and look up at the ceiling. Aim at the small speaker grille and shoot it with a weapon that has a specific blueprint (e.g., "Blood Rose" for the M4). A hidden techno beat plays for about 30 seconds.
2. Hidden Achievement: "The Ghost Within"
In the Warzone integration with MWII, there is a secret achievement/trophy called "The Ghost Within" which requires you to eliminate an enemy squad while using a specific combination of perks and a Ghost skin. It is not listed in the public achievements.
3. Developer Room in Ballistics Test Map
In the private match map "Ballistics Test", if you manage to glitch out of bounds (not a cheat, but a known border), you can find a hidden room with developer names written on the wall. This is accessible only on PC via specific movement patterns, and was left in as a tribute. (Note: This may have been patched; proceed at your own risk.)
4. Secret Finishing Move: "The Mauler"
To unlock the hidden finishing move "The Mauler" (a spinning backfist executed by the character Roze), you must complete all 15 missions in the campaign on Hardened difficulty or higher. It will then unlock for use in multiplayer with Roze.
