Important Disclaimer

Clash of Clans is a strictly online, server-authoritative game with no built-in cheat codes, console commands, or debug menus available to players. Supercell actively bans any account caught using third-party mods, bots, or exploits that manipulate game files or network traffic. Easter Eggs & Hidden Visuals

1. The "It's a Trap!" Tree

  • Where: A special Christmas Tree spawning annually during the holiday season.

  • Action: Tap the tree repeatedly (about 10-15 times).

  • Result: A giant snowball falls on your village, flattening a few buildings (buildings remain intact; it's just a visual effect). The text "It's a Trap!" appears briefly.

  • Note: The tree can be removed with a Shovel of Obstacles afterwards.

  • 2. Builder's Hut Easter Egg

  • Where: The Builder's Hut (any level).

  • Action: Tap the Builder repeatedly while he is working (he walks around the hut).

  • Result: The Builder will eventually fall over and lie on the ground for a few seconds before getting back up. He also occasionally waves or does a little dance if you tap rapidly.

  • Also: If you tap the Builder inside the Trader's wagon (Trader event), he similarly reacts.

  • 3. The "I Am a Barbarian" Easter Egg

  • Where: The Clan Castle (deployed troops).

  • Action: Go to the Barracks, select a Barbarian, and hold your finger on it. Then drag it to the Clan Castle donation slot without releasing.

  • Result: The Barbarian will say "I am a Barbarian!" in a small speech bubble. This works for other troops too (e.g., Archer says "I am an Archer!").

  • Note: This Easter egg was added in an old update and still works.

  • 4. The "Dreaded Jumper" (Dev Joke)

  • Where: The Shop > Special Offers > scroll to the bottom.

  • Action: Tap the small “i” icon next to the Terms & Conditions link repeatedly.

  • Result: A sprite of a Barbarian with a jetpack (the “Dreaded Jumper”) flies across the screen. This was a developer joke about a mythical overpowered troop that never made it into the game.

  • 5. Stone Golem Statue

  • Where: The Obstacles menu (when clearing obstacles).

  • What: Occasionally, a Stone Golem statue can be dug up from the ground for decoration. It looks like a small building. This is a rare, non-magical obstacle that appears randomly.

  • Note: Cannot be sold or removed; it's purely cosmetic.

  • 6. Golden Apple (Clan Games Easter Egg)

  • Where: Clan Games menu.

  • Action: When a Clan Games event is active, tap the golden apple icon (usually hovering near the progress bar) repeatedly.

  • Result: The apple spins and occasionally squirts juice. No gameplay impact.

  • 7. Builder's Apprentice

  • Where: The Builder's Hut of the Master Builder (Builder Base).

  • Action: Tap the Master Builder while he is idle.

  • Result: He will say random quotes like "I need a vacation!" or "Build faster!". If you tap him enough, he falls asleep.

    Developer-Intended Hidden Features

    1. Shovel of Obstacles (Official Item)

  • Purpose: This Magic Item allows you to move a special obstacle (e.g., Christmas Tree, Birthday Cake, Statue) to a new location without removing it. It does not let you move regular obstacles like logs or rocks.

  • How to get: Purchased from the Trader (using gems), obtained from Clan Games, or as a reward in special events.

  • Use: Tap the Obstacles icon in the village, select the Shovel, then tap the special obstacle you want to move. It becomes movable like a decoration.

  • 2. Clan Castle Troop Donation Loop

  • Hint: If you donate troops to a clanmate, you can request the same troop back immediately (if they donate back). This is not a secret but a legitimate mechanic to cycle troops.

  • Efficient use: Air Defense? Nothing, just coordination.

  • 3. Hidden Ice Cauldron (Winter Event)

  • During winter updates, a special Ice Cauldron appears in the village similar to the Christmas tree but with a different visual. Tapping it yields gems (1-3) after a few taps.

  • 4. The `#` Secret in Chat

  • Where: Global chat (now removed) or Clan Chat.

  • Action: Type `#` followed by a number (e.g., `#1234`).

  • Result: It creates a clickable hyperlink to that player's profile (if they exist). This is a legitimate UI feature, not a cheat.

  • 5. Staggered Upgrade Visual

  • During an upgrade, if you tap the building many times, the construction animation plays faster (visually only; no actual speed increase). The Builder will also make funny faces.

    Exploit-Safe Tricks (Legitimate)

    1. Army Training Queueing

  • Trick: You can queue up troops in the Barracks by selecting the troop multiple times. This does not require any cheat.

  • Benefit: Automates training; you don't have to remember to retrain.

  • 2. Builder Base Gem Mine

  • Secret: The Gem Mine in the Builder Base produces gems over time (1 gem every 8 hours at max level). This is a persistent, passive income.

  • Optimal use: Collect every 8 hours to maximize gems.

  • 3. Friendly Challenges (Fake Attacks)

  • Feature: Clan members can challenge each other to a war attack simulation using their own base and army. This is great for practicing without losing resources.

  • Not a secret, but many new players miss it.

  • 4. Gold Pass Perks

  • Hidden benefit: The Gold Pass includes a 1-Gem Boost perk that reduces the gem cost of temporary boosts to 1 gem. Activate this by tapping the boost icon (e.g., Barracks boost) when the perk is active.

  • 5. Sneaky Goblin Farming

  • Strategy: Using Sneaky Goblins (invisibility) to quickly steal resources from collectors. This is a known meta, not a cheat.

    Urban Legends & Debunked Myths

  • Myth: Tap the gem mine 100 times for 1000 gems.

  • Reality: False. Works only as described above.
  • Myth: Deleting the game and reinstalling resets your progress.

  • Reality: Your village is tied to your Supercell ID or Game Center/Google Play account; reinstall only re-downloads the game.
  • Myth: There is a hidden “God Mode” button.

Reality: No truth. Any claim of a cheat code is a scam.
