| Matilda (9mm Handgun) | 9mm | Leon’s starting weapon. | Standard semi-auto. Upgrade with: High-Capacity Magazine (RPD East Office safe 9►15►7) – 24 rounds; Silencer (Boiler Room in Sewers – narrow room) – stealth headshots; Red Dot Sight (Sewers, near orphic puzzle) – improved accuracy. |
| W-870 (Shotgun) | Shotgun Shells | Leon: RPD West office lockers (use bolt cutters). Claire: S.T.A.R.S. office at RPD (after getting club key). | Pump-action. Upgrade with Stock (RPD – after statue moves from library) – faster fire rate & reload. Best used on lickers or multiple enemies. |
| GM 79 (Grenade Launcher) | Flame, Acid, Explosive Rounds | Floor 3 of RPD (find in locked cabinet in the library/study, requires the hidden ladder). | Claire only. Explosive rounds for boss fights, flame rounds for IVy zombies. |
| Lightning Hawk (Magnum) | Magnum Rounds | Parking Garage – inside a locked container (use diamond key from RPD safe). Also in sewer’s weapons locker. | Extremely powerful; save for bosses or tough enemies (lickers, G-adults). Ammo scarce. |
| JMB Hp (Handgun) | 9mm | Claire’s starting weapon. | Same upgrade options as Matilda (magazine, suppressor, red dot). |
| Sparkshot (High Voltage) | High Voltage Cartridges | RPD 2F waiting room (inset into a panel – uses crank wheel to open). | Stuns enemies temporarily, consumes rare cartridges. Good for saving resources. |
| Flamethrower | Fuel (found in red canisters) | Sewers – in the maze-like section near the “control room” after the piston puzzle. | Only available to both characters. Devastating against bugs, ivy zombies, and organic bosses. Fuel can be mixed from large canisters? Actually, you find full canisters. |

| Grenade | – | Found in many crates and from certain enemies (zombies drop occasionally). | Standard throwable. Stuns groups, kills weak enemies. Can be combined with flash to blind + damage? Only standalone use. |
| Flash Grenade | – | Found near stairwells, lockers. | Blinds all enemies in radius, stuns lickers, destroys Mr. Raccoon collectible if thrown? No, only temporarily disables them. |
| Combat Knife | – | Infinite durability (secret) – Reward for finishing game on hardcore with S+ rank. Standard one breaks after a few uses. | Default melee. Stun enemies, break crates. Replaceable – many found. |
| Hand Grenade | – | Same as grenade – different naming? In RE2 they are “Grenade” only. | – |
- Weapon Stock – Faster fire rate and reload for shotgun.
- High‑Capacity Magazine – Increases ammo capacity for handguns.
- Red Dot Sight – Tightens crosshair for better accuracy.
